a comprehensive guide
ryan: everyone in town makes fun of your rubber boots eh
me: no they don't!
ryan: ya they do
me: no they don't my rubber boots are awesome no one says that
ryan: they do they say i've never known anyone who loves their rubber boots from canadian tire so much
me: whatever no one said that i look adorable in these
ryan: actually it was my dad who said that
hahahahaamy hairs are getting lighter. which was the plan so that's ok. we might be missing the blond a tiny bit. but brunette's have fun too, they do they do.
so really the trick is you do your best with what you got. not excluding your boyfriends clothes. and don't take no shit from no one. you're a hot lumberjack babe and you know it.
i should put these on right now actually.

the jig is up the news is out
if you're looking for us just peek in the living room window and you'll see two nerds in nipigon nylons playing rockband with our tongues hanging out. and don't act like you're not doing the exact same thing. or wishing you could come in. it seems the more people i talk to the more people i find out are rockin rockband- after work, at parties, while their bf/gf/husband/ roommate's taking a crap. its a time eater and a finger exerciser, way better than the internet, plus even better its social and fun and puts loud music back into your life where it was probably lacking while you got lazy and old fartin around on the internet. why am i so down on the internet all of a sudden. anyway. plus it goes good with drinks. it was a birthday present from my honey and i'm pretty sure even though we were already the (self proclaimed) king & queen of this town we are for sure quickly turning our place into The Place to be. even when it's just us in it. (please knock.) so but anyway if you're not lucky enough to have rockband at yours to keep you sweaty this winter, you can come on over. i might even share my drumsticks.

its probably really not going to be very good, and james marsden is one of the top 5 worst actors ever but...i wanna. there's something so appealing about diaz in this trailer. or something? vanilla sky vibe maybe?

i am awesome
hey y'all how was the weekend? we had a good one, hockey and sweatpants and foos and booze and a good old fashioned tbay saturday- man i love those. got some new toys for the homestead and used a cheat code to unlock all the songs in rockband, downloaded some choice songs from the online store too. been drooling over ryan with his new axe. wait can an acoustic guitar be an axe? whatever. the strap i sent him for christmas last year holds it up perfectly.
that's my new owl mug. its sentimental cause when sarah and i went to new york last fall we saw these (and a matching teapot!) at anthropologie and farted all over ourselves over them. and she found one and gave it to me for my birthday this year. awww he's so cute, and he loves kettle corn. also i feel like he looks like something miss kate might paint or make out of felt. also i don't give a shit if owls are over. over is the new in. you heard it here first.
please to enjoyi made turkey chili with thanksgiving/birthday leftovers and it was really awesome. i'm gettin weird reactions when i say i made turkey chili, but its not weird dudes. just substitute cooked turkey for beef and then huck in whatever else you want. also a little chili tip- if its too spicy and/or acidic stir in a couple teaspoons of sugar. listen to me right now! ya i know stuff.
and the main reason i am awesome, besides the obvious is that i got the d-link to work in our apartment and now we have a wicked strong internet signal and can watch movies in bed. ALL HAIL GANDOLF.
also i gotta get into the wii fit plus now. bye!

tiny snow
its snowing tiny snowflakes this morning. it occurs to me that there was a time i may have lost a little shit over this, but up here i'm totally diggin it. and its because of course, i'm different now.
i've found myself in nostalgia overdrive lately, in a good way, like when we got back from our trip our place smelled like when we first moved in, i think its the cold im not sure but anyway its got me all swoony. smells are kinda fucked up that way eh, how easily they can evoke memories. and its snowing in my gmail and that's all reminding me of last winter too, talking to rye, aw man.
ANYWAY, about our road trip, lets get to itwhere did we leave off, oh yes sudbury. from timmins we headed south towards orillia, making a stop in sudbury to crash at ryan's sisters place for a night. OH sudbury. the only other time i'd ever been there was on a grade 6 class trip and peter wildbore barfed on the bus and that's pretty much the only thing i remember.
so we had a gps for this trip which was pretty invaluable about 60% of the time. sometimes annoying, thanks for the scenic routes but no thanks. and sometimes downright useless, like when its pissing rain when you arrive in sudbury and you can't see shit anyway and the gps is driving you to turn right in 10 seconds to nowhere, cause you find out that sudbury has NO street signs. weeeee! just tell us the way to red lobster alright.
but in the end we managed, found rye's sis' place and then made our way to Peddler's Pub for some good live music and good drinks and good times, and to wait for a cab for 2 hours after the bar closed. sometimes being loud and obnoxious fake mad drunk is funny and fun.
perkins breakfast!
then a trip to science north. we were pretty pumped to go, then sister bear says "oh ya science north i take this kid i know with autism there" then i didn't laugh inappropriately, and then we went anyway and it was still pretty cool. the floor with the animals was definitely the coolest, and the saddest. something just wasn't right there to me, seeing kids petting a skunk after i just saw it pacing in its pen back and forth, and the beaver totally wanted me and ryan to rescue it- i just hate zoos for this reason. animals in captivity makes me sad.
the butterfly room was really cool, they were just flyin around loose in there and you had to check for "hitchhikers" in a big mirror before you left. cute.
smell ya later suds!
with another day before we were due in orillia we decided to pull over in parry sound for the night. there's this cool thing about me and rye that's been present since the start- things just have a habit of making way, or working out for us how we want it to. like in a timely way. kinda hard to explain. but so we're driving into parry sound and we're like, all we want is a cheap hotel with a sports bar so we can watch the hockey game and then get to our room easy from there. a moment later on the right we find don cherry attached to best rates and we were stoked. the little things right?
later after i passed out rye followed the sounds of beer and pearl jam like a beacon in the night to party with some locals downstairs. i just think its cute i found this picture on my camera.
bobby orr museum was closed :( so we did a little shopping and headed back out on the road to orillia.
and that you already know about
i took a little side trip down to toronto during our week at the casino for some errands, visits and some pre-wedding festivities with miss j. or should i say mrs!
i may burn in a toronto sewer for saying this (ya right you'll never catch me!) but sneaky dee's nachos are gross. barf nachos. who wants to eat WET chips, like honestly.bit of a picture gap here, but basically all you need to know is between orillia and belleville ryan went to the bass pro shop/outdoor world for the first time. and we bought a new fish pillow, a rainbow trout, and now the pickerel and the trout are having fish sex all the time.
arrived in belleville to a historical maybe haunted b&b (people's clothes kept going missing it was weird) then picked up this little cowlick to get her hair done for her wedding day!
now she's still on her honeymoon and i don't feel right blogging her wedding before she's even seen any pictures from it herself, so i'm gonna save the wedding for its own post. it was THE LOVELIEST country wedding in the history of time though, i can tell you that.
oh what the hell a little preview couldn't hurtOHHH ok one more
kk one last one just cause rye's so handsome...
aw. anyway then after the wedding it was a stop back through toronto for thanksgiving with my fam, then driving through a snowstorm on the way home monday, to fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinally arrive back at our sweet home late that night. it was a great trip, a lot of fun and i'm so grateful and lucky to be with someone as amazing as ryan. the sweet feeling of being home together is so palpable, really. and i'm so close, so in love with this person, and it really truly feels like home here. home with him. when i look at him i can see the future. its pretty incredible. in case you were wondering.

luck be an old lady
this is me right now-
hahahaa just kiddinggggggg no im not yes i am this is actually me and rye-
hahahaaa just kidding no im not yes i am well even if im not i wouldnt tell YOU.
ANYhooternoodles, i'm at casinorama in the fanciest hotel room ive ever been in in my life...its insane its like a mini apartment you never want to leave. king size bed that's erupting pillows (my fav), and that like, memory foam mattress or whatever that feels like you're sleeping in a hug. the bathroom is beautiful, a palace of glass and marble, if i can use the words majestic and toilet in the same sentence i just did. fireplace, giant flatscreen, couch...and if you call down to the front desk and ask for wine glasses and a corkscrew they not only ask what KIND of glass, they call up later on to make sure you are happy with the glasses.rye: "i'm de-skidding you by the second here eh" yes you are my love. and its super fun.
last night was great we stopped by the noodle house, did a little tour of the casino floor, got some beers at the sports bar, played some slots for fun then came back up to our house room and watched funny people over drinks. yayy! (watch that movie.) not sure what's on the menu for tonight, i may hit up the steam room shortly and then its probably a jaunt into town, followed by dinner and maybe drinks downstairs. why do i feel like im supposed to be drinking only martinis here.so our road trip so far's been great, we've been doing it right by stopping to stay in towns along the way instead of barreling hours ahead on the road.
breaking news i got a new ring i am in love with. may need to plan all upcoming outfits around this hunk of junk. i love junk rings.
ive been taking a ton of pictures but no time to go through them all right now so there'll be a good post once we're back home next week. still lots to see and do! stay tuned.geehee that's what normal eyeballs look like. see you soon!

red dragons
day one of road trip, hi, we're in timmins. i have the biggest blemish ever on my face that needs to be gone in a week. okay face? you got that? its snow/raining and i have pms and the best boyfriend ever took me to mcdonalds at midnight last night to pig out in the parking lot together. that's love you know, if you didn't know.
i'm keeping cozy at the hotel today watching some shitass movie with christian slater and elisha cuthbert- ya you read that right and its FUCKING EMBARRASSING to say the least- anyway. here's your report from day one. the road can be a bit daunting when there's a lot of it ahead of you, but we're about halfway to our destination now, with some fun stops to make along the way, and we're feeling pretty good, feelin good. i love being in the truck with you, going anywhere with you. red dragons!
p.s. the marijuana party's only platform is to legalize marijuana. i love how the logo is a pot leaf with a checkmark beside it. hahaaa.
p.s. that my parents were awesome website is totally dissing me! they haven't put up my picture yet!
